Peka Indonesia gives special attention to a model of inovated approach in addressing nature conservation. We choose to concentrate to develop lokal scale model and highlighting the important of local community involvement. Since 2000 we have facilitated groups of farmer in Karangwang, Subang and Halimun (West Java) area to promote sustainable farming and plant pest and disease management. Indonesia has been known as an islands state with megabiodiversity. Its role as one would say a “lung” of the world, placed Indonesia in a vital role for the sustainable lifes on earth. Ecologically shows that biodiversity living in an ecosystem interacts with abiotic elements within to form system of life on earth. Any form of disturbance to the ecosystem and the ecological system can lead to a greater catastrophic events. It is ashame that the existency of biodiversity and environmental services has always been threatened by human activities. These threats are in the form of ecosystem modification, land conversion, forest fire, and the use of pesticide. All these threats will have tremendous effect on the biodiversity such as habitat loss and fragmentation, habitat isolation and disappearance of species.
